About the Authors

Louise Woodbury and William de Ora have been working with small to medium sized businesses for over 15 years. They have combined their years of professional experience in business consultancy and their 12 years of married life to present their books: How to Grow Your Business by Taking 3 Months Off and The Invisible Entrepreneur.

As co-owners of Quantum Dynamics, a business consultancy based in Sydney, Australia, they reveal all about examining your business, growing your business and taking three months off with your partner and still have a business to return to! Above all, they write with detailed intimate knowledge because they did it themselves!

The couple say their first thoughts for the books came about from their hands-on experience where they saw more and more business owners become disillusioned, stressed, burnt out and lose passion for their families’ livelihood.

“Most small business owners start their company based on the previous business experience they have – which often was not the experience of running a private company,” says Louise.

“All too often we see business owners shackled to their company – not knowing how to expand it, make it run more effectively, not knowing how to get the holiday they need before their health and personal lives become irreparably damaged,” adds William.

Louise and William took all their experience and knowledge of running and building small businesses – and decided to practice what they preached.

They took a well-planned three-month holiday from their own consultancy to mould the ‘How to…’ for thes timely books – ones that will prove vital to so many small business owners.

William admits it was not all plain sailing. Not everything went to plan – but it gave them even more knowledge to pass on to owners of small business. Over the years, Louise and William have developed an impressive résumé to provide inside knowledge and authority to guide small business owners.

Their thriving consultancy, Quantum Dynamics, works year after year with Australian small business owners.

Together they have seen what many of their small business clients have gone through, especially the lack of management planning and the absence of scheduling a lengthy R&R.

They regularly counsel such owners, who think of themselves as indestructible and put off a needed holiday because ‘there is always something to do when you own your own business!’
